Consumes Research to generate Advanced Research, which can be spent to queue upgrades in the Portal screen. Each point requires 1.5x more Research than the previous point, and does not reset when entering the portal.

Advanced Research is preserved when the node is deleted, however any progression to the next Advanced Research will be reset.
